Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Cacat (RKKKC, which stands for
Handicapped Children's Welfare Home) has been established for 38 years. It was founded in 1968 by 8 parents who have disability
children, and registered with Social Welfare Department of
Malaysia and Registrar of Society, as a Non
Government Organization (NGO).
RKKKC was originally established in Ipoh. In 1991 they moved
to a 1-hectare building, which belongs to the Perak State Government, in
Batu Gajah and currently based there. A lot of efforts have been put in order
to set a better environment to the children of this Home.
RKKKC is a charitable organization that managed by the
Volunteers Committee members with an aim of providing a safe and
caring environment for the children who are mentally and
physically handicapped.

RKKKC not only accepts disabled children, but also disabled
adults. In the present, 39 disabled residents, who are suffering
Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Hip dislocation, severe mental
retardation, Anathira (speech disabilities), Autism and/or
spastic Tetraplegia incapable of standing without support, are
being taken care full time at this Home. They are ranged from 11
to 54 years old.
70% of our special children are from destitute
families. 30% of our monthly expenses are subsidized by the
Perak Social Welfare Department, and the rest are relied on the
generous giving from the caring public.
